No one outside Apple Inc. and partners knows what it will be called, but the speculations have always been iPhone 5 as many people thought. after the release of Apple’s iPhone 4, it was thought that, Apple’s next iPhone will be called iPhone 5, but Apple shocked the entire customers and called it iPhone 4S, this time around, the same might happen, hope many won’t be disappointed, anyway, trust Apple, with the loads of features that will be packed on the device. The announcement date is not yet certain, but many have speculated September 12.
A new proof about this date is about been confirmed by the statement of Foxconn CEO, the Chinese manufacturer that builds Apple’s product, and phone carriers also clearing the iPhone 4S and informing employees not to take a vacation between September 21 and September 30, this makes it certain the iPhone 5, or the Apple next iPhone so to say will be on market this month.
The new iPhone is said by rumor to be announced officially ob 12 September, kicking off the pre-orders and made available a week later.
There is a lots of speculations about this release, Apple is now the most valuable company in history at over $619 billion and with some analytical predictions, it may turn to be the world’s first trillion dollar empire provided the new iPhone, the suspected iPad mini, and the iTV all come out a success.
Besides the iOS 6 that will be running, What do you expect in the iPhone 5?
The 4.8″ on the Samsung Galaxy S III is extraordinary, it is unlikely that iPhone will be having something as large as that, but everybody is expecting that the screen will be larger than the 3.5′ that has been the attribute of the iPhone screen since it released in 2007. Another photo leaked some few days ago on MacRumors.com, the coming iPhone might increase by 14 percent approaching 4″ in diameter. it’s not a really obvious increment, but it will bring a new experience to web browsing, eBooks, GPS navigation, messaging, games and video (even, the change will like has an effect on the aspect ratio from 3;2 to widescreen 16:9). More pixels will also be packed on the taller screen to maintain its ‘Retina display’.
Bigger Battery, Thinner Body, and new Connector
The new screen design on the iPhone 5 will also be thinner, contributing to the slimmer smartphone. Apple recently got a patent related to integrated touch sensors, unlike placing the touch sensors around the top of the LCD as it is currently done. What Apple is aiming at is a thinner display, trying to trim down the entire iPhone’s depth to about 1.2mm.
As touching the connectors, it seems the headphone jack will be moved to the bottom left from the phone’s top left, and it promised a smaller connector of 8 to 19 pin unlike the 30 pin connector packed on the current iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) as well as Apple nano. Unless new adaptors for converting the new dock into the old dock, all accessories on market such as speakers docks might frustrate current Apple users. Apple is transforming to smaller dock for its new iOS devices as retrieved from various sources.
As for the battery, A photo leak on 9to5Mac showcased a bigger battery in the iPhone 5, but not much obvious. The iPhone 4S came with a 1,430mAh battery a little better than the 1420mAh on the iPhone 4, the photo suggests a slightly better 1,440mAh on the iPhone 5, moving to 3.8 volts from the former 3.7. All we hope is that the battery will not take longer to charge and won’t get hot as the new iPad.
New Wireless Technology
Another revelation of the previous rumor is the present of a nano SIM in the iPhone 5 for cellular connectivity. Apple has been pressing for this technology a long time; let’s wait to see if it will come as an introduction on the iPhone 5.
Other improvement on the wireless technology adds the 4G/LTE data speed that take full advantage of faster wireless networks that are on select markets. Korea Times once said, Apple has been liaising with two Korean mobile carriers, (KT and SK Telecom) to add the iPhone 5 on their LTE networks.
Another wireless technology expected to come on the iPhone 5 is the NFC – Near Field Communication, a small chip that allows you to accept and make payment with your smartphone. Just like the Google Wallet, the iWallet app will be linked to your account or credit card.
