In India on Wednesday, Nokia finally launched its long awaited Pureview 808 with a price tag of Rs 33, 899.
The smartfone with its 4 inch wide screen runs on Symbian Belle. It has a 41MP camera sensor which facilitated Nokia award-wining pureview technology and Carl Zeiss optics and this brings it to the peak of Indian best smartphones.
Nokia partnered with Dolby Laboratories who helped it introduce good cinematic sound output in the Pureview 808. It features both Dolby Digital plus and Dolby Headphones technology.
With that, the smartphone has two microphones that has a almost perfect aound recordings to enrich videos with rich CD-like audio recordings arlier onli posseble with external microphones.
Moreso, its powerful pixel technology with its superior low-light performance and its ability of saving in compact file system enables them to be easily shared in email, MMS, and social networks. The Nokia 808 pureview also promises to capture high-quality images in any condition. The phone also has full HD 1080p video recordings with playback of 4X lossless zoom.
With the Dolby technologies on its smartfones, Nokia vouch to transform them into devices that can deliver high-definition (HD) content with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1-channel surround sound to HDTVs, video/audio receivers, and home theatre systems.
Pureview 808 appears in only black and white attires and will sell across all Nokia retail outlets starting from Thursday with market rate price of Rs 34, 999. Powered by a single core 1.3GHz processor, it has a 16 GB internal storage, extendable to 32 GB with microSD. The RAM is at 512MB.
